Structured Cabling in Houston

Design the cable routes before the move-in date.

The useful life of a cabling installation depends on more than the cable category. Outlet placement, pathways, labeling, rack space and handover records all affect how easily your site can change later.

Talk About Your Project

Build a cabling brief

Mark planned desks, access points, cameras and phones on a floor plan. List the opening date, landlord requirements and any restricted work hours. Request a clear agreement on labeling, testing and the records provided at completion.

Decisions to include in the scope

Copper cabling

Plan network drops around workstations, access points and other business devices.

Fiber connectivity

Discuss distance and capacity needs to determine where fiber is appropriate for the project.

Rack organization

Improve the arrangement of patching and equipment connections to support maintenance.

Labeling and documentation

Use clear identifiers so future troubleshooting and changes start with useful information.

Move and expansion planning

Coordinate new cabling with office layouts, additions and changing workspace requirements.

Testing and handover

Agree on the testing, documentation and acceptance requirements included in the project.

Specific deliverables, coverage, equipment and responsibilities are confirmed in your service agreement or project proposal.

Unplanned cabling becomes difficult to support.

Unlabeled connections that slow troubleshooting
New devices without a clear pathway back to the network
Office moves that expose gaps in capacity

Built around Houston businesses.

Houston offices, medical clinics, warehouses and manufacturing spaces have different pathway and access constraints. We plan around the facility and coordinate with the people responsible for it.

Common questions

What should be included at handover?

Agree the outlet and patch-panel labeling scheme, test records appropriate to the installation, updated location drawings and a list of any exclusions. Specify these deliverables before work begins.

Can existing cabling be reused?

Existing infrastructure may be reusable after its condition and suitability are assessed. The project scope should specify what will be retained and what requires replacement.

Do you coordinate cabling for an office move?

We can discuss the new floor plan, device locations and move schedule so connectivity requirements are included before the team arrives.
